OpenFOAM is a free, open source CFD software package produced by a commercial company, OpenCFD Ltd. It has a large user base across most areas of engineering and science, from both commercial and academic institutions. In this webinar I will provide an overall introduction to OpenFOAM, and will talk about installation, setting up an example run, submitting a job to a queue, and checking the results using Paraview, in the context of SHARCNET. This seminar is mainly aimed at OpenFOAM beginners but some of the more advanced topics will also be covered.
