Policy consultations can result in voluminous public records and complexity in determining who and how various submissions influenced the final outputs - how can AI help in tackling this problem?
This session will examine the methodological and technical approaches our project team is advancing in understanding how to use LLMs to scrutinize policy consultations. Methodological considerations for classifying submissions, extracting arguments and recommendations, and assessing which submissions influenced final outcomes will be discussed.
