This seminar will provide an overview of how one can quickly and effectively debug problems with jobs or programs at SHARCNET. Topics that will be covered in the seminar include: how to diagnose job failures on SHARCNET systems, how to identify and correct common programming bugs, and how to use the gdb and DDT debuggers to debug serial and parallel programs, respectively. Examples will be presented to illustrate the basic concepts and tools.
