This workshop is designed to move researchers from no previous experience using high-per formance computing (HPC) clusters towards a position of confidence and com petence. This workshop focuses on the mechanics of submitting programs (ak a “jobs”) to the clusters for scheduling and execution. Led by Kamil M arcinkowski\, scheduling team lead for the Digital Research Alliance of Ca nada\, this workshop will contain extra emphasis on interacting with the s cheduler to ensure that your work is getting done rather than sitting in t he queue. This workshop provides that background in a friendly\, jargon-mi nimized\, hands-on environment. HPC Shell and Scripting are prerequisites\ , or a solid understanding of the Unix environment.
